The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. The balconies are private and directly over the river. The bathrooms were clean enough (no soap scum or pink mold on drains or surfaces) the beds were alright, though one of the ones in our room should definitely be replaced - it's got a huge dent in it (we didn't complain because our toddler didn't mind lol). But they were reasonably comfortable and not noisy. The pillows were wonderfully fluffy, and the sheets were decent. The extra blankets were the perfect weight for sleeping in a cool room next to the river. It was wonderfully peaceful until more guests showed up Friday night, at that point you become very aware you're in a hotel in a busy city, not a cabin tucked far away somewhere. The building is clearly aged, and has some issues you would expect. You can tell they service the rooms between guests - but the room we were in (and presumably the others as well) need a true cleanjng. There are various smudges on the walls and noticeable grime build up on the doors and places where people touch. All normal stuff and nothing that caused us any real displeasure, we've definitely stayed in worse. We will definitely be booking again, hopefully very soon.

My mind was blown away when my husband and I entered our room. It was very spacious and exceptionally clean. We had 2 balconies. The one in the back overlooks a babbling brook which was very relaxing. From the very comfortable bed, to the coffee maker, refrigerator (and freezer) to the very spacious bathroom with hair dryer, to the iron and ironing board- we didn’t need anything! In the morning, they provide a very nice breakfast for only $5! The parking lot is huge! They had a play area with a very nice outdoor pool! There is laundry facilities and a workout room. For this price- we will be back.

The view of the River , it was calming and seeing some wildlife, and how the lodge is close to the downtown perfect walking distance and your surroundings of the mountains and nature just beautiful! And the Room loved it! Bed was comfy the bathroom gorgeous! I will definitely book this place again when I come back for vacation next time :D and my partner he loved the lodge and area too. Best 5 yrs anniversary vacation! And the staff are super friendly and they are wonderful! And bonus the front desk has they're own pet rescue parrot name Emma beautiful bird :)

Charming even in an outdated way. Sure, maybe the bathroom door could be replaced, but the wooden log cabin-like furniture, and even the paneling on the wall made for a pleasant and charming room. I had a room with a fireplace and a balcony in the back which overlooks a fast moving large brook.Trolley stop right at the street is convenient. Staff is super friendly.

Charming hotel with rooms that have balconies overlooking a babbling brook, fireplaces, mini-kitchen with sink, fridge, microwave. Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff with a goody bag upon check in. Very reasonable rate. Quiet. Within walking distance of several restaurants -- try the Thai! Grocery store (Food City) short drive away.
